I alone
On into the darkness wearing a smile
I've traveled so far there is no way back
The scenes so repetitive and vile
The demons constant attack
Allow me one instant to think
I could use a view not so entwined
Always waiting on the brink
Laughing, while cursing my mind
Why do the passive mock me
How do the holy excuse
Where will this path soon lead
Can I withstand the abuse
Serenity calls to deaf ears
I alone can never prevail
A path walked so many years
With eyes ever so veiled
Talk of things so hated
Yell it all to my face
Yet never know you are overrated
Slowly die in your disgrace
